1890 Project

Since a fire in 1921 destroyed most of the 1890 census population schedules, the goal of the BCGHS 1890 Project is to survey county records for all Bosque County residents in 1890. To date there are 4,334 names in the 1890 database. The estimated population of Bosque County in 1890 was just over 14,000 residents-approximately 7,500 males and 6,500 females.

Each issue of the BCGHS Journal features an 1890 Project highlight on individuals that resided in Bosque County in 1890. Click on the link below to see feature stories.
